There Is No Ithaca borrows the title from the poem book by Jonas Mekas. The video was made on the coast of the Ionian Sea, with the view to Kefalonia, Ithaca and the other islands. Our odyssey* stuck during one of the pandemic lockdowns exactly where Homer possibly placed the adventures of Odysseus. In Mekas’ “Walden...” one can hear the reocurring noise of the running train. The sound in our video is a constant roaring of a storm wind.
