a soundscape of the empty former building of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Wrocław Medical University, ul. Grodzka 9, Wrocław

Pharmacy is a selection of field recordings carried out in June 2014 in the former and the current buildings of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Wrocław University. The move to the new seat took a long time and has only recently finished.

The work was triggered by the need to question the tendency to think in dual terms, also with reference to the city fabric. The bi-channel registration of sonic emptiness and fullness of the buildings emphasises the ambiguity of what death and vitality are.
