A psychogeographic map recording wind directions along with their meteorological connotations. Wind, whose agency manifests in weather changes, becomes something more than just a movement of air. Its volatility and unpredictability could be likened to the mechanisms that govern geopolitics and world history. The form of the map serves to find one’s bearing in confusing times, with the subtle vector-shaped marks scratched into the tarry graphite attempting to guide.
Gusts was created during Artist-In-Residence Programme in Centrum Kultury ZAMEK, in the last built in Europe Prussian castle of quite complex history.
