A curtain, depending on how it is used, protects, emphasizes weight, adds lightness, covers, but it can also hide, divide, hinder access or obscure the view, signaling non-transparent intentions. In April, “Fałdy” was presented in Kiosk With Art – a pleated curtain hanging across the interior. It referred to the Wrocław implementation of “Folds” unveiled during ECC Wrocław 2016. In the final installment of the Lublin exhibition, I subjected the fold to drawing studies and transformed the curtain's fabric into a spatial collection of works.

In "The Fold" (le pli), Gilles Deleuze interprets the world as a body of infinite folds that intertwine through compressed time and space. The fold—the principle of the world's structure—leads to an infinity of continuities, a kind of description of the behavior of living mechanisms in their constant change. The nature of the mind is unable to encompass all the elements of an image simultaneously. In a Japanese Zen garden, composed of 15 stones, one stone is always hidden from view, regardless of the viewer's perspective.
